Top 5 Tuesday: Top 5 books that made me laugh

This week’s Top 5 Tuesday is 5 books that made me laugh. Looking through my Goodreads, I was surprised how few books on my Read list were more serious and didn’t make me laugh so this was quite a difficult topic.

The Harry Potter series

There is so much humour in this series that you forget until you reread. The Weasley twins are great, Luna is so quirky and I love Hagrid when he puts his foot in his mouth, but my favourite humorous character (however stereotypical this may be) is Ron. I’m currently rereading Order of the Phoenix and Ron is so great at breaking the tension.

Marley and Me

Anyone with a dog will know how funny they can be with their little quirks, and I love this book. It gave me all the emotions, and you go from laughing to crying back to laughing in this book – definitely worth a read if you haven’t before.

Weird Things Customers Say in Bookshops

This book is exactly what it says, and I really enjoy Jen Campbell’s humour – check out her youtube channel too if you’re a BookTube fan.

What I did on my holidays

I read this book a few months ago, and while it’s not the best written it definitely has some laugh out loud moments, and it’s a perfect post-break up book to help your mood.

Where Rainbows End

While Ahern’s most famous novel (P.S. I love you) is a tear jerker, she also has some great comedy in there. If you liked P.S. I love you, or you want to read a book by Ahern that won’t make you sob than Where Rainbows End is a perfect alternative.

  1. The Harry Potter books are really funny😂 I don’t remember laughing that much when I first read them but now I’ve laughed a lot! Ron is the king but I also think Ginny and Luna are funny in their own way😂

  3. Love your list! I definitely agree with Harry Potter. Re-read them a few times and I still catch myself laughing out loud.
