As today is St Patrick’s Day, I wanted to do this book tag I found on Zeezee’s blog (it’s a couple of years old, but the questions are still really interesting!)
End of the rainbow: What book did you have a hard time tracking down a copy of?
I’m trying to read all of Diane Chamberlain’s books, as I love her writing so much but it is proving impossible to find an affordable copy of Lovers and Strangers as it’s out of print,
Pot of gold: When you found that book, was it worth the quest?
If I ever get a copy of Lovers & Strangers I’m sure it’ll be as great as Diane’s other books, I just want to know why it’s no longer printed.
Celebrating a rich heritage: Name a book that contains a well-developed culture.
I don’t really read sci-fi books, which is what this question puts me in the mind of! I’m also really bad at reading books outside of British and American cultures, I’d love to read more international books.
Shamrock Shakes: what’s your favourite food to snack on while reading?
There is nothing better than going to a cafe and reading with a hot chocolate and a slice of cake. Yum!
Four Leaf Clover: Name a book you thought would be ‘just another generic book’, but turned out to be something great.
I was a bit apprehensive picking up Dolores Claiborne. I really like some of Stephen King’s books, but others haven’t been my thing at all. I loved Dolores Claiborne though, I’ve never read anything like it in terms of style.
Irish Whiskey: what’s your favourite tradition of St. Paddy’s Day?
Well, I’m not Irish so I don’t celebrate St Paddy’s, but I think it sounds fun to paint your face and go to a great big parade!
